Through our technology platform, we transform the way healthcare is delivered and received by empowering health practitioners within our network with digital tools and workflow capabilities needed to improve care delivery for their patients.

CARE SHORTAGE

1 MM
Primary Care Shortage
According to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), 81 million Americans live in primary care shortages areas. The Association of American Medical Colleges also estimates that there will be a shortage of primary care physicians of 30,500 to 55,500 by 2033. This number continues to increase when adjusted for unequal access to healthcare in the United States. The U.S. ranks last among OECD countries with 2.6 physicians per every 1,000 people*.

Mental Health Care Shortage
149 million Americans live in mental and behavioral health shortage areas

Drive Better Health Outcomes
Nearly 90% of U.S. healthcare spend is for patients with one or more chronic conditions. Most avoidable ER visits and hospitalizations result from the lack of timely care intervention and preventative care management

CareSpan’s technology platform enables NPs and APN’s to create, maintain, and grow their own independent practice to support the demand-supply imbalance in U.S. primary care.

Current solutions do not meet the needs of NPs:

  • Current solutions are fragmented and, for the most part, geared for large and more established practice groups or hospital systems
  • They lack end-to-end workflow driven functionality
  • Telemedicine and digital care are not standard features of most platforms
  • APNs are required to cobble together a solution from multiple technology and service providers

NPs want to own their own independent practice but need support:

  • There is a growing trend for NPs to go into independent practice
  • NPs want to be more focused on patient care and spenbd less time on practice/business management and administration
  • NPs may have limited exposure or access to payor contracts

CareSpan’s platform provides end-to-end workflow support for its’ Nurse Practitioners:
